ABOUT

EXECUTIVE ATHLETE IS A 90-DAY ATHLETIC PROGRAM THAT TEACHES 110KG MALE EXECUTIVES HOW TO BECOME 90KG ATHLETES.
“An Executive Athlete prepares for their career like it's their sport. Even elite athletes need training and executives are no different. This is not about physical dominance. This is about using your physical fitness to develop the resilience needed to perform your role and then go home with enough energy to connect with those you lead and those you love."

— JONATHAN CAWTE, FOUNDER OF EXECUTIVE ATHLETE

SUCCESS REQUIRES SACRIFICE

When an executive sacrifices their health for their career, it causes three key problems:

Blue Icon

FATIGUE

When all you crave is rest, watch your ability to solve complex problems disappear.
Blue Icon

DISENGAGED

Relationships of any depth demand constant input of new energy, often executives just don’t have the energy to spare.
Blue Icon

PHYSICAL PAIN

When even the most basic movements become painful, life is miserable and their state of mind suffers the most.

THE HIDDEN COST OF SPENDING TOO LONG IN A PERFORMANCE STATE

While the execution of your professional skills is very high, its the mistakes that you don't know you are making that are robbing you of the opportunity to leave your legacy how you have envisaged. The dedication to your job allows you to gloss over these seven mistakes that you are making.

        Masterclass 2: Friday April 27 (3 hours)

Jonathan Cawte and Ryan Pinto, the head of Nutrition for the NSW Waratahs and South Sydney Rabbitohs, are your hosts for the Kick-Off. Executives, just like athletes are paid to perform. Ryan will share the principles of how he manages not just the nutritional needs, but also the critical factors of rest and recovery, with his athletes to ensure they are ready to perform. Utilising a Q&A format this will be your opportunity to ask questions of one of the most highly sought after nutritional professionals in elite sport.

        You will also:

        •    Expand on your personal values and create a list of weekly non-negotiables

        •    Learn what to expect in regards to your hunger levels, how to prevent getting sick and what to do if weight loss slows

        •    Develop a weekend routine that will prevent backward progress

    QUARTER TIME

        Masterclass 3: Friday May 25 (3 hours)

As a high-performing individual, stress is part of your role. Stress drives both the athlete and the executive to high performance. Quarter time is not about eliminating stress entirely – that’s a fool’s errand. Mark Adams, Executive General Manager APRA, will share how he utilizes the huge amount of energy he can pick up in a stressful situation and positively release it.

To control stress you must be able to change your physiological reaction, your body’s response to stress. Mark will share his expertise on how he controls these physiological changes to access the boundaries of his talent and skill in his most challenging moments.

        You will also:

        •    Re-affirm your personal values and how you will design a value-driven life

        •    Learn how the regular practice of a task that puts you in a state of ‘flow’ leads to higher levels of mental resilience

        •    Develop a routine, similar to an exercise routine, to prime your mind to make the best decisions

    HALF TIME

        Masterclass 4: Friday June 15 (3 hours)

You must possess the freedom of movement that the athlete enjoys if you are going to become an Executive Athlete. This program is about function. It's about making movement fun – the fundamental ingredient of a lifelong commitment to exercise.

During the Pre-Season, you will complete a one-on-one rehabilitation program with Matt. This masterclass is the next step – it’s about staying in the gym or on the training field pain-free for the rest of your life. These are the skills you need to regain (and maintain) the joy of movement.

        You will also:

        •    Create a new definition of how you pursue ‘joy’ with your new levels of strength and endurance (i.e. without relying on alcohol and fine dining)

        •    Build a training program leading up to an event or activity that you will compete in during the next 12 months.

The number one strategy to make a life-long commitment to exercise is to compete (at any level) in an activity with your loved ones or closest friends. The planning and training start now.

    THREE QUARTER TIME

        Masterclass 5: Friday July 6 (3 hours)

The Creep is the almost invisible lowering of standards that lead aspiring Executive Athletes to stop doing the extra work that led them to success. The true champions fight against The Creep by setting new goals for themselves at every turn. The middle and back of the pack are full of people who once vied for the lead but have since allowed themselves to slide steadily backwards.

At Three-Quarter time you are in the grind, each kilogram lost is a little harder than the one before it. At this masterclass, you will be introduced to members of the Executive Athlete alumni. They will share how they fought The Creep and will pass on the wisdom they gained from travelling the path that stretches out before you.

        You will also:

        •    Discover what it takes to not only become an Executive Athlete but to also achieve the true definition of success – sustaining the same transformative results one year, two years, ten years after the beginning of the program. The true definition of success is: change for life.

    FULL TIME

        Masterclass 6: Friday July 27 (3 hours)

This program is not merely a weight loss program. The 90-day window is only a small part of the Executive Athlete's transformation. The weight loss phase of the program is short. When in a high-performance environment 90 days is all you need to lose up to 20kg. Upon its completion, its only natural to think - what next?

This masterclass is designed to answer this question and teach you how to create the environment that makes your new weight sustainable.

        You will also:

        • Decide how you will celebrate your achievement? What will you do with your new found powers of strength, endurance and vitality?
        • Re-evaluate your personal values and consider if you have maintained the boundaries you established between your work and home life
        • Create a set of standards that you must uphold to live your life as an Executive Athlete

    END OF SEASON

        Fulltime: Sunday August 5

Day 90 is a celebration!! A final weigh-in and Dexa Scan will quantify just how far you have come. Then it will be time for you to visit MJ Bale or Karen Gee, to be fitted for the bespoke uniform of the Executive Athlete. Your family and biggest supporters will then be invited to join you in your final workout and celebrate at a champagne breakfast.

    AWARDS NIGHT

        Awards Night (Date: TBA)

The first opportunity you will get to wear the uniform of the Executive Athlete will be at an awards dinner with your family and biggest supporters. This is the moment where you get to experience the pride, status and confidence that comes with taking control of your health and completing a physical transformation.
