ANDREW NEEDED TO TAKE BACK CONTROL. LOSING 21KG WAS JUST PART OF THAT
THE CHALLENGE
"I knew I could do it, but I didn't necessarily know how."
THE STORY
Andrew greeted Jonathan every morning in the carpark. Devotion Digital's office was directly below Jonathan's training studio. Like David, Andrew's moment of realisation was a photo. Standing on the back of boat after a session of wakeboarding, Andrew didn't like what he saw.
It took two years to make the trip up the stairs to the gym. The steep gradient was not the barrier. It was his ability to take back control. The demands of growing the business that he founded allowed him to choose to prioritise work over his family and health.
THE SOLUTION
"It was about simple changes for a life-changing result. Little things like moderating my alcohol intake without cutting it out and making smart meal decisions for myself and my family without compromising flavour were key."
The Executive Athletes who enjoy the most success are the ones who have leaned on their support network. Humour is the perfect antidote for the tensions created by dramatic lifestyle changes. Humour works well because it's inclusive. It counteracts the exclusivity of nutrition plans.
Andrew who would be nicknamed - The Unicorn- due to the ease in which he dropped the weight, was the focus of office banter, lead by Joe his business partner. The banter reached an all-time high in the lead up to the Noosa Triathlon but that camaraderie was part of what drove Andrew to a new level.
THE RESULT
Number of kilograms lost in 90 days
21
Number of days spent in New York during program

Andrew needed to put himself first. By putting himself first he was actually putting his family first. What Andrew craved the most was the energy to be at the beach with his son and daughter. This required the discipline of routine. Andrew had to take back control. Losing 21kg was just part of that.
